Keenan Allen injury update, Week 4 fantasy outlook

Allen (hamstring) missed the Chargers’ past two games but is trending toward a return for Los Angeles’ Week 4 road tilt in Houston, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He practiced in a limited fashion to end last week but was ultimately inactive in the Chargers’ 38-10 home loss to the Jaguars.

In his absence, fellow WRs Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter have taken on a bigger workload in the offense, and while the two will still be a factor going forward, Allen’s return certainly caps their ceilings. Prior to sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 1, Allen hauled in four passes for 66 yards and returns to his high-end WR2 status.

Chris Godwin injury update, Week 4 fantasy outlook

Godwin (hamstring) has yet to practice since suffering a hamstring injury in the Buccaneers’ Week 1 win in Dallas, and his status for Tampa Bay’s Week 4 showdown against Kansas City on Sunday Night Football is unclear.

If he continues sitting out practice, Godwin’s Week 4 prospects seem bleak, as he will more than likely fail to suit up for a third straight week. The good news for Tampa is that Mike Evans (suspension) will be back from his one-game suspension and the hope is Julio Jones (knee) will be able to return to game action.

Julio Jones injury update, Week 4 fantasy outlook

Jones (knee) is on track to make his return in Tampa’s Week 4 matchup against Kansas City, according to head coach Todd Bowles. After posting a three-catch, 69-yard output in the Buccaneers’ 19-3 win over the Cowboys in Week 1, Jones has missed the Buccaneers’ past two games dealing with a partially torn PCL.

With Jones gearing toward a return, Tampa Bay’s receiving corps will be back to near full strength. In the Buccaneers’ Week 3 loss to the Packers, Russell Gage was Brady’s go-to option in the passing game, securing 12 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Jones’ return more than likely means less run for fellow WR Breshad Perriman, but Gage still has the chance to produce a fantasy-worthy stat line, especially if Chris Godwin (hamstring) remains out. Consider Jones a WR3/flex with upside.

Jakobi Meyers injury update, Week 4 fantasy outlook

Meyers (knee) was inactive in the Patriots’ Week 3 loss to the Ravens, and his status for this week’s road test in Green Bay is uncertain. In Meyers’ absence, DeVante Parker led all Patriots receivers with five catches for 156 yards, while Kendrick Bourne chipped in with four catches for 58 yards.

Even if Meyers returns to game action, his fantasy ceiling is capped with QB Mac Jones suffering an ankle injury. Brian Hoyer’s a formidable enough backup QB, but if you’re contemplating starting another WR over Meyers, go for it. Even his PPR prowess is dimmed with Hoyer.

Hunter Renfrow injury update, Week 4 fantasy outlook

Renfrow (concussion) didn’t practice in the week leading up to Las Vegas’ Week 3 loss to Tennessee, as he was in concussion protocol after taking a couple of big hits in the Raiders’ Week 2 loss to the Cardinals.

There’s a chance he returns to the field for the Raiders’ Week 4 home bout with the Broncos. In his absence last week, Mack Hollins made the most out of his opportunity, snagging eight passes for 158 yards and a TD. If he’s able to return, Renfrow sits comfortably as a WR3.
